Location: Online (Zoom)

The Steering Committee of Working Group 6 (WG6) invites all Sedona Working Group Series members to an open “town hall” meeting on Wednesday, June 16, at 11 a.m. EDT. We are pleased to welcome Rohan Massey, chair of the 12th Annual Sedona Conference International Programme on Cross-Border Data Transfers and Data Protection Laws, who will provide us with a review of current developments in cross-border data transfers in the wake of Schrems II, Brexit, and the COVID-19 pandemic, with an emphasis on data transfers for litigation, regulatory enforcement, and internal investigation purposes. Rohan will be joined by a panel of WG6 members for an informal discussion of the efficacy of conventional data transfer mechanisms (Privacy Shield, Binding Corporate Rules, and Standard Contractual Clauses) and the practical advice being provided to clients today.
