Time: 1 pm Eastern/10 am Pacific, 90 minutes The Sedona Conference Webinar on International Investigations Principles Earlier this month, Working Group 6 on International Electronic Information Management, Discovery and Disclosure (WG6) published The Sedona Conference International Principles for Addressing Data Protection in Cross-Border Government & Internal Investigations: Principles, Commentary & Best Practices ("International Investigations Principles") for public comment (available for download here). WG6 is now pleased to announce it will hold a webinar to discuss the International Investigations Principles on June 8, 2017. WG6 developed International Investigations Principles to provide practical guidelines and principles to help organizations, regulators, courts, and other stakeholders handle government or internal investigations that necessitate the transfer of Protected Data across national borders. We invite you to listen to a panel of dialogue leaders who helped develop the International Investigations Principles as they discuss the following: Background on the development of the International Investigations Principles Unique challenges that cross-border transfers of data pose in the context of government and internal investigations For whom - and how - International Investigations Principles can be utilized as a resource Each of the eight Principles The webinar is scheduled for 90 minutes, during which time you may text your questions to the panel, who will endeavor to address all that time allows.
