The program, also held in Phoenix in 2013 and Chicago in 2014, features a heavily participatory format. Through the use of a litigation hypothetical and mock exercises, practical cooperative strategies to avoid or resolve conflicts that commonly occur in the preservation, collection, production, and use of ESI are explored, thereby saving time and expense for all parties. The faculty of veteran trial lawyers and judges provide valuable critique of the attendees’ participation.
Under the supervision of the experienced faculty of litigators, judges and eDiscovery experts, all participants are provided the opportunity to take part in the following:
- Four mock Rule 26(f) conferences, focusing on scope of discovery, form of production, privilege, and social media
- A mock Rule 16(b) case management conference
- Participants will have the opportunity to take part in mock Rule 26(f) conferences and a Rule 16(b) case management conference, under the supervision of leading jurists, practitioners and eDiscovery experts.
