David Glockner


David is the director of the Chicago Regional Office of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. In his role at the SEC he is active in the Commission’s efforts to address cybersecurity issues through both the SEC’s examination and enforcement programs. He joined the SEC in December 2013 from a global digital risk management and investigations firm, where he was the managing director in charge of the firm’s Chicago office. From 1987 to June 2012, he served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago, including 11 years as chief of the office’s criminal division. During his years as a federal prosecutor he focused on financial fraud, cybercrime, and public corruption. He also is an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois College of Law, where he teaches a course on cybersecurity and the legal system. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago and Stanford Law School.
