Walter is a partner with Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP. He comes to the fields of data security and data privacy by way of his technical background in designing and building and, subsequently, patenting and litigating, many of the core technologies underlying the “Internet of Things,” including telecommunications equipment; wireless data protocols; Internet protocols; encryption techniques; industrial automation networks; embedded real-time computer systems; relational databases and data mining; precision agriculture; and mobile commerce applications. His understanding of how things really work gives him a unique perspective on the legal implications of our increasingly digitized world. Walter received his J.D., with high honors, from Chicago Kent College of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology and his B.S.E.E. from the University of Illinois. |
